Matters needing Attention when Using Coated Titanium Anode

  1. Metal oxide coatedtitanium anodes (MMO coated titanium anodes) should be installed under suitable electrolytic conditions.
  2. Avoid grease contamination of theanode en titane coating.
  3. The surface of the coatedtitanium electrode is very easy to be scratched. It cannot be rubbed or knocked with hard objects, polished with wire brushes or sandpaper, or cleaned with high-pressure water spray.
  4. When theanode en titane is removed from the electrolytic cell, it should be rinsed with water immediately to prevent corrosion.
  5. Titanium anodesthat need to be stored for a long time should be carefully packed with inflatable plastic packaging materials to avoid scratches on the coating surface or dust.
  6. A distance of 5-20cm should always be maintained between electrodes. An accidental short circuit between the cathode and anode of theanode en titane can cause irreversible damage to the anode en titane coating and can also damage the titanium substrate. In the event of a severe short circuit, the anode en titane can be completely destroyed.
  7. Theanode en titane must be in working condition as long as it is immersed in or in direct contact with the electrolyte. If the anode en titane is not energized, a low positive voltage (residual voltage) can be applied to the anode en titane. This requires only 2V to be applied between the anode and cathode, without using a power supply and a big current.
  8. Impurities such as lead, iron and barium in the electrolyte should be tracked. This will not generate a large amount of anode deposits. Anode deposits can clog theanode en titane surface and cause uneven distribution of anode current.
  9. Organic additives are added to the electrolyte, and different additives will have different effects on the life of thetitanium anode.
  10. Removal ofAnode en titane Surface Deposits.
